We have several volunteer opportunities for adults at Appleton Farms CSA in the field and in the greenhouse. For a complete listing of volunteer opportunities with the Trustees of Reservations, please visit the website at ttor.org/volunteer.
Teens looking for community service hours should contact Farm Educator Caroline Rouillard about summer teen volunteer opportunities at crouillard@ttor.org.
Greenhouse Volunteers
Mondays, 9am - noon
March 3rd - June 23rd (except April 7th)
Come help us seed veggies in the greenhouse! We meet in the greenhouse located on the left just past the CSA barn. Parking is available just past the greenhouse in the compost parking lot. Volunteers are welcome to come for just an hour or stay the whole time. Seeds are often small and attention to detail is important, so while we welcome children visiting the greenhouse, seeding work is best suited for adults.
Pick-your-own Garden Volunteers
Saturdays, 9am - 10:30am
June 14th - July 19th
Help us to hand-weed, hoe, and occasionally transplant PYO crops. Most of the time working in the PYO garden is spent either kneeling or repetitively bending over, so this work may not be suitable for those with serious knee or back issues. We may work in light rain, but in cases of a downpour or lightning, PYO volunteering will be cancelled.
Please feel free to email Ryan at rwood@ttor.org with any questions.
